Printer Friendly View The principal of Parent Participation in Special EducationAs a parent of a special needs child, you know that parents are required by law to shoulder a great deal of the responsibility for their child's education. They must make decisions that will determine whether or not their child is admitted to special education and, if so, what education they will receive. Parents must be informed about the law and the rights it gives them. If not, they and their child risk losing their rights. This is a huge responsibility.
